After a long year of academic learning in Reekworth, we are proud to say that the year ended on a high note. Here are the highlights of the year.
Inaugural Class passes grade 7 exams... 92% pass rate
It is astonishing how much a child can stand up to challenges fearlessly and courageously. We are proud to announce that our very first grade 7 Class excelled in their national exam with a 92% pass rate. We look forward to having most of them join us at Reekworth High School in 2018. During our end of term examinations, we were impres
sed with our grade 0 students’ results. After taking their end of year tests, 33 students came first. Hence, they had to undergo a second, more challenging screening test in order for us to come out with the top 10. Impressively 13 students made it to the top 10.
Reekworth Educational Trips
Our end of term trips led us to the Lion and Cheetah Park where the children viewed a wide variety of animals and got valuable lessons of preservation of wild animals. The junior classes got to go for an exciting lunch at Chinese Gardens Restaurant after the trip.
The school encourages a saving culture in our children hence the introduction of piggy banks so that children save money given to them as pocket money. Quite a number of children have saved substantial amounts of money which they can now use to buy the things that they were saving for. This term the students got an opportunity to withdraw from their savings and see how much their money has accumulated. Of note are the nursery school students who will participate in a shopping experience on the 7 th of December to learn how money is exchanged for goods and services.
The school hopes to resume the next academic year with more focus on advancing the students not only for the zimbabwean country but for the world at large. That being said Reekworth will like to end this blog with an amazing visual representation of the year.
Have a wonderful Holiday.
